Quote of the Month

"It's not just self defense, it's about...self control, body discipline, and mind discipline... and breath techniques. It involes Yoga. It involves meditation. It's an art, not a sport."( Elvis Presley. )

PaSaRyu Titles

A title is an animal name that the student chooses upon becoming a PaSaRyu Martial Artist Association Member. The student is encouraged to put a great deal of thought into choosing their title as it is the student's registration and will remain with them for the rest of their lives.

The title, the student chooses, represents them and thus should express their characteristics or personally. For example, a student that tends to clown around, likes to be humorous, is playful yet insightful and swift may choose "Coyote" as the coyote displays many of the same traits. Then again, a student that tends to be intelligent, protective, disciplined, strong minded and shows ferocity may opt to choose "Dragon".

There are generally six categories for the student to choose from:

Cat family
Panther, Tiger, Lion, Lepard, Cougar, etc.

Bird family
Eagle, Falcon, Owl, Hawk, Swan, etc.

Fish family
Shark, Dolphin, Whale, Sting Ray, Frog, etc.

Mythological family
Dragon, Pegasus, Phoenix, Unicorn, Gryphon, etc.

Poison family
Rattlesnake, Wasp, Hornet, Bee, Mamba, etc.

Other families
Wolf, Seal, turtle, Wolverine, Butterfly, etc.

In addition to the name of the animal a color or type may be added. Such red drgaon, bald eagle, black mamba and so on. Once the title is chosen the student may be referred to by their title. Such as Mr. Golden Eagle or Mrs. Phoenix.
